Job TitleRegistered Nurse – Intermediate Care (IMC/PCU/Stepdown)

Schedule / Job TypeContract (13 Weeks) | Full-Time | Onsite | 12-Hour Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | 36 Hours per Week | Every Other Weekend and Every Other Holiday Required
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a 36-bed Medical Surgical Intermediate Care unit with a heavy telemetry focus and a 4:1 patient ratio
- Manage complex patient populations including stable and weaning ventilator/trach patients, sepsis, trauma, alcohol detox, GI bleed, TBI, ortho trauma, spinal cord injury, and stroke
- Administer and monitor insulin drips and manage primary patient assignments independently
- Float to higher-acuity inpatient units as needed across the facility
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation; EPIC charting experience preferred
- Adhere to all facility infection control policies, including mandatory masking requirements for staff who decline flu and COVID vaccinations during flu season
- Active Wisconsin RN License required
- BLS and ACLS certification required (AHA or ARC)
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience — firm requirement
- Stepdown, Intermediate Care, or PCU experience required
- Ventilator and trach experience required
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment required
- ICU experience preferred
- Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change in a fast-paced environment
- Gain experience in a dynamic, high-acuity intermediate care setting with a diverse and clinically complex patient population
- Guaranteed hours per week with a structured schedule on an active, collaborative inpatient unit
