Registered Nurse – Neuro ICU

Wausau, WI | Neuro Intensive Care Unit (Inpatient)

Contract (13 Weeks) | 36 Hours/Week | 12-Hour Day Shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM | Every Other Weekend & Every Other Holiday

• Provide direct patient care in an 8-bed Neuro ICU setting, managing a population that includes stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Perform comprehensive neurological assessments and monitor ICP; familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring is required
• Assist with and manage basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Support bolt and drain bedside placements in collaboration with the neurosurgery team
• Float between the Neuro Critical Care ICU and Med/Surg ICU units, with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• Document all patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records

• Active Wisconsin RN License required
• BLS and ACLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
• NIHSS certification required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience with a Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background; strong neurological assessment skills required

• At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment preferred
• Experience as a Neuro Interventionalist is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and adapt well to change
