- Stepdown
- Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
- Guaranteed 36 hours per week
- Contract length of 10 weeks
- Float to all inpatient units as needed
- Every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Low census contract eligible for 36 unbillable hours - may be low censused in hour increments, typically in 4-hour increments
- Work in a 44-bed intermediate cardiac stepdown unit with fast-paced, high patient turnover
- Care for patients including post-op CABG/Valve, thoracotomy, vascular, arrhythmia, CHF, post-procedure cath, pacer, defib, ablations, acute CP/MI, and med/surg overflow such as detox, DKA, COPD exacerbation, respiratory failure, and Fem Pop Bypass
- Typical patient ratio of 1:4
- Must be able to work independently, complete tasks timely, and manage change effectively
- Scrub colors: any color
- Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, and ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- Must pass EKG test during first week of hire
- Minimum 1 year of strong cardiac experience required (Cardiac SDU, Intermediate Cardiac, or Cardiac ICU)
- Minimum 2 years of IMC/PCU/Telemetry experience required
- Experience with Amiodarone, Cardizem, and Nitro Drips required
- At least one prior travel assignment required
- Minimum 1 year of recent EPIC charting experience required
- Associate Degree or Certificate required;
Bachelor's Degree preferred
