FAC ENG​/PLUMBER

Position Overview

The role is a full‑time plumbing technician responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems in retail store locations. The technician will clean drains, replace valves, install commercial water heaters, perform preventive maintenance, and manage reporting and inventory of tools and parts.

• Clean drains, repair and replace valves in toilets, and install commercial water heaters.
• Complete and submit accurate time and vehicle inventory reports by scheduled dates using company computer programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance in assigned stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expenses meet annual budgetary guidelines by tracking cost under the correct account codes.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation as required.

• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.
• Team‑oriented and able to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible to handle changing assignments and projects.
• Availability to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays; overtime may be required.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize job functions and follow through to completion.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong PC skills; experience with Windows, MS Excel, and MS Outlook. Ability to learn Kroger‑specific mainframe applications, including Viryanet Service Hub, is required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently.

• General plumbing experience, especially in food retail and/or commercial facilities.
