Kocourek Ford is expanding—and we're bringing Heavy-Duty Truck Service to our dealership!

This is a brand-new opportunity to join us as we build our heavy-duty truck service capabilities from the ground up. We're looking for an experienced Heavy-Duty Truck Technician who wants more than just a job. We want someone who is excited about being part of something new, helping establish the department, and growing with us.

As a Heavy-Duty Truck Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles while helping us establish our new truck service operation.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and commercial vehicles
• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drive trains, electrical systems, and other truck systems
• Perform brake, suspension, steering, cooling, exhaust, and after treatment system repairs
• Troubleshoot electrical and computer-controlled systems using appropriate diagnostic equipment
• Complete DOT-related inspections and repairs as applicable
• Accurately document inspections, diagnoses, repairs, and parts used
• Perform quality-control checks to ensure repairs are completed correctly and safely
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate effectively with Service Advisors and other team members regarding vehicle needs and repairs
• Follow manufacturer specifications, dealership procedures, and safety standards
• Help establish efficient processes and best practices for our new heavy-duty truck operation
• Provide input on equipment, tooling, training, and resources needed to grow the department

Because this is a new service offering, you won't simply be stepping into an established department—you'll have the opportunity to help create it.

You'll have a voice in:

• Building our heavy-duty truck service processes
• Establishing shop standards and workflow
• Identifying equipment and tooling needs
• Developing our capabilities and service offerings
• Building relationships with commercial and fleet customers
• Growing the department and your career alongside it

Your experience can help shape what this department becomes.

We're looking for someone who:

• Has previous heavy-duty truck or commercial vehicle repair experience
• Has strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Has experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty systems
• Can work independently and confidently diagnose complex repairs
• Takes pride in quality workmanship
• Understands the importance of safety and following proper procedures
• Is dependable, organized, and team-oriented
• Has a strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Wants an opportunity to grow with a new operation

ASE certifications, manufacturer training, CDL, or other industry certifications are a plus, but we're willing to talk to the right person.
