ATTIC stands for "Alternatives to Traditional Incarceration of Citizens." We are a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to developing interventions that enable individuals to avoid unnecessary levels of incarceration, enhance community safety and provide a setting that facilitates treatment and the reduction of recidivism. We operate residential and other correctional programs throughout Wisconsin that provide case management, counseling and treatment groups, vocational training and high risk client monitoring and supervision.

The Behavioral Support Assistant will provide security and supervision of correctional clients at one of our Residential Treatment Centers. They will monitor client behaviors and whereabouts, enforce program rules, maintain paperwork, conduct facility checks, and assign client activities such as meals, chores and testing.

• Provide a safe environment for clients
• Supervise the client's whereabouts and behavior
• Maintain required paperwork – daily logs, progress notes, and incident reporting
• Conduct facility checks
• Assign client activities – chore tasks, urinalysis/breathalyzer testing
• Supervise client meal preparation and household chores, ensuring accountability

Currently hiring weekend only staff for the following shifts: X1 for 4 PM – 12 AM.

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One year of experience working with correctional clients
• Passion to help others
• One year experience and/or education relating to corrections, community based residential facilities (CBRF), criminal justice, human services, psychology, sociology, security, social service, mental health, or law enforcement preferred

• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work well with individuals of diverse backgrounds
• Ability to interact with staff, clients, and agents in an effective manner while maintaining professional boundaries
• Ability to maintain the utmost confidentiality of all agency information
• Strong decision-making abilities and able to work independently
• Knowledge of nutrition and sanitation
• Experience in record-keeping
