Driver and Mail Processor

Overview

United Mailing Services, Inc. (UMS) is a privately owned mailing and digital printing provider serving hundreds of clients, from small local businesses to Fortune 500 companies in Wisconsin. Since 1989, UMS has progressed from mail sorting in a basement to a leader in the automation and mailing industry, including a partnership with the United States Postal Service.

UMS provides a one‑stop shop for all mailing and digital printing needs.

• Work on assigned route(s) or in the shop, aiming to complete tasks in a reasonable amount of time.
• Pick up mail from customers in a professional manner and report all customer requests or concerns daily.
• When in the shop, load and unload UMS vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
• Handle routes with high mail volumes, which may require lifting, loading, and unloading several containers of mail daily.
• Represent yourself and UMS to customers by providing quality customer service.
• This position involves driving and mail processing: once a route is completed, you will transition to mail processing until the work is finished.

• Valid Wisconsin Driver’s License with a good motor vehicle record.
• Ability to lift 10–15 lb containers repetitively.
• Ability to drive safely and confidently in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand and/or walk on a production line for the entire shift.
• Ability to remove mail from processing equipment and place into containers, including twisting and turning of the upper body and grasping mail.

  2:15 pm to 7:15 pm.
