Job SummaryThe Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, inventory control, safety compliance, and employee development within a fast-paced distribution environment. This role ensures efficient receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping activities while maintaining inventory accuracy, operational excellence, and a culture of safety and accountability.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations- Manage daily warehouse operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Oversee receiving, storage, inventory control, and shipping functions.
- Monitor inventory levels, product availability, and stock movement.
- Ensure compliance with established warehouse procedures and operational standards.
- Partner with operations and procurement teams to maintain service levels and inventory availability.
- Lead warehouse safety initiatives and promote a strong safety culture.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and food safety standards.
- Conduct safety meetings, inspections, audits, and corrective action programs.
- Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures to reduce risk.
- Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse associates across multiple shifts.
- Provide training on warehouse procedures, safety practices, and performance expectations.
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development plans.
- Foster accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the operation.
- Monitor inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory control processes.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Analyze inventory trends and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and accuracy.
- Manage labor planning and staffing levels to support operational demands.
- Coordinate staffing and scheduling for day and night shift operations.
- Provide leadership coverage as needed, including occasional weekend operations.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of warehouse, distribution, inventory management, or logistics experience.
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in a warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, shipping, and receiving processes.
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and workplace safety requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze operational metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse environment as needed.
- Forklift certified.
- Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 Suite, including Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint, and related collaboration tools.
