Salary Range: $19.63 To $24.40 Hourly

The Lutheran Home and Harwood Place is seeking to add a Medical Records – Unit Clerk to our team. This position is responsible for providing a wide range of secretarial, administrative and medical records support to the nursing unit such as:

• Coordinate with physicians, nursing staff, patients, families, and other departments in relation to patient care
• Coordinate patient appointments, transportation, transfers, and discharges
• Receive, analyze, process, and maintain both paper and electronic charts
• Perform secretarial and administrative duties on nursing units.

Requirements for the position:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years of Unit Clerk, scheduling, or similar experience
• Prior experience in a nursing home preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to interruptions and changing priorities/workloads.
