Overview

The Wauwatosa School District (WSD) is seeking candidates interested in serving as the Principal of McKinley Elementary School beginning July 1, 2026. McKinley serves approximately 355 students in grades JK through 5.

The WSD is a high achieving, forward-thinking, and richly diverse public school district serving about 7,000 students and their families. WSD has a strong commitment to creating a sense of belonging for all students. We are focused on increasing the diversity of staff in our schools, and we encourage educators of all backgrounds to consider joining our amazing District. Our district consists of nine elementary schools, two middle schools, two high schools, two choice schools, two alternative schools, four alternative programs and services, the Wauwatosa Recreation Department, and a district office.

These neighborhood schools are nestled in the charming suburb of Wauwatosa, about 15 minutes west of downtown Milwaukee and the shores of Lake Michigan. Our educational community's long history of excellence has been recognized both regionally and nationally.
