The Wauwatosa School District (WSD) is seeking candidates interested in serving as an Academic Resource Teacher at East High School. East High School serves approximately 1,046 students and this position would work with grades 9‑12. Any secondary certified teaching license will be accepted for this position. An Alternative Education license will also be accepted.

Qualifications- Relevant certification through the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction
- Knowledge of effective teaching practices
- Ability to design lessons that meet the educational needs of all students
- Ability to work in a collaborative manner with other staff members
- Knowledge of the key components of professional learning communities (preferred)
- Knowledge of PBIS and RTI (preferred)
- Understanding of relevant common core standards (preferred)
- Manage testing center giving students opportunity to complete tests after absences
- Read tests for students with ELL or other reading challenges
- Assist students with academics (tutoring), review for tests, edit papers
- Promote and facilitate organizational skills
- Recruit and manage Teaching Assistants (Junior/Senior level students who volunteer to tutor peers)
- Maintain a supply/resource closet for student use
- Complies with the following requirement:
