Position SummaryThe Special Education Assistant works with students under the supervision of certified teachers to support and serve students with disabilities throughout the school day. Duties include providing academic instruction, behavioral supports, supervision, daily living and delegated nursing tasks to students with disabilities. A valid driver’s license is required and the assistant must be comfortable driving young adults in the community.
Pay Rate- Without DPI License $17.98
- With DPI Special Ed Program Aide License $19.18 (required to obtain a special education certification; may apply for reimbursement of the license fee of $100 after completing 90 days of employment)
- With DPI Teacher or Specialty License/Certification $21.25
