Job SummaryJoin our team as an Electrical Technical Specialist, collaborating with the team responsible for full vehicle, electronic system, and component testing within Product Development Engineering. For this position, we are seeking an individual that demonstrates a fundamental knowledge of electronics testing equipment, processes, and measurement.
Job Responsibilities- Uses existing test procedures and practices to set up, conduct, and report on motorcycle electronic system and component testing.
- Understands wiring diagrams and connection systems to build wiring harnesses for component testing.
- Sets up and uses electronic meters, oscilloscopes, and function generators to power and excite systems and components.
- Uses Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, MS Excel, SharePoint).
- Compiles test result reports and submits them to engineering in a timely manner with guidance from senior roles.
- Executes tests, improves processes, and reduces product development time by exchanging information, asking questions, checking for understanding, and reporting progress to engineering.
- Provides high‑quality test data through detailed understanding of transducer designs, calibration, limitations, and appropriate usage.
- Independently and successfully applies instrumentation tools and techniques during project execution.
- Applies fundamental knowledge of statistical analysis in daily work and participates in root‑cause analysis.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Preferred Education- Associate’s or Technology Degree in Electronics or a related technical degree preferred.
A successful candidate will typically have 3 years of experience in the following areas:
- Experience in product development, product testing, or performing similar support tasks.
- Exposure to sensors, sensing equipment, and data acquisition systems.
- Ability to utilize oscilloscopes, meters, waveform generators, and other general electronic lab equipment.
- Ability to solder and create and repair low‑voltage wiring harnesses.
- Success in determining the root cause of electrical equipment issues and repairs.
- Ability to communicate technical subjects clearly and concisely to multiple levels of the organization.
- Willingness and skills to work effectively within a group and/or team of engineers, technical specialists, mechanics, and riders.
$62,400 - $93,400 (national average)
