ECM PLM Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage Engineering Change Management (ECM) activities using Windchill PLM.
• Create, review, and process Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
• Maintain product structures, Bills of Materials (BOMs), CAD documents, and engineering data within the PLM system.
• Ensure engineering documentation complies with company standards and change management procedures.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Product Development teams.
• Support product release activities from design through production.
• Troubleshoot PLM-related issues and provide technical support to engineering users.
• Drive continuous improvements in PLM workflows and engineering change processes.
• Ensure configuration management, document control, and data integrity within the Windchill environment.
• Support New Product Development (NPD) programs by coordinating engineering changes and product data management.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 5+ years of experience working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• Hands‑on experience with PTC Windchill PLM
• Strong understanding of Engineering Change Management (ECM) processes
• Experience managing ECR, ECO, and ECN workflows
• Knowledge of Bill of Materials (BOM) management and product structures
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings and CAD data
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Experience working in a manufacturing or product development environment

• Experience in the motorcycle, automotive, heavy equipment, or industrial manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of configuration management and document control best practice
• Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD) program
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP integrated with Windchill
• Working knowledge of Creo or other mechanical CAD tool
