As a Software Engineer III, your goal will be to support our Electrification group by performing a variety of complex engineering duties to design, plan, and oversee the architecture, design, development, and management of software systems applied to new or existing products. You will evaluate progress and results of projects. Recommends changes in design, procedures or objectives as necessary.

You will do this by:Developing and managing control system software for integrated power systems at the discrete level while developing and adapting requirements
Deploying control algorithms to embedded controllers (rapid prototyping and production ECU) from general project inputs without defined functional requirements.
Creating complex software requirements, specifications and validation plans
Partnering with other departments to help drive business decisions
Developing engineering test standards
Acting as a liaison between other departments as necessary
Developing complex system architectures across multiple product lines that enable cohesive integration, component maintainability, and reuse
Maintaining the software portfolio and software lifecycle.
Performing other duties as assigned

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Related field
Three years of experience developing control algorithms for mechanical or electrical systems
Knowledge of control development and calibration tools including dSpace, Vector CANalyzer, ETAS INCA, and ATI Vision
Comprehensive knowledge of appropriate standards and regulations including functional safety.
Professional experience with software management tools including Subversion and Git
Proven ability to work well with others as part of a diverse global team
Strong communication skills to explain designs and logic used
Fluent in English and primary language used in area of responsibility and/or location
Experience with Battery Management Systems (BMS)
