What You Will Do As An EHR/PM Applications Analyst- Support existing EHR/PM systems, providing end‑user assistance by answering questions, analyzing procedural problems, presenting new functionality, communicating changes/outages, and documenting concerns and reports to the HIT Applications Manager.
- Assist with insurance payer and chargemaster fee schedule data entry.
- Maintain knowledge of EHR capabilities and updates through learning platforms to implement change and manage ongoing maintenance of the EHR applications within assigned scope while educating team members on changes.
- Recommend ways to optimize revenue areas including charges, dictionaries (HCPCS, CPT, ICD‑10), insurance verification, and clinical documentation.
- Recommend and implement changes within the EHR, including cyclical upgrades, customizations, or internal updates, working with the HIT Applications Manager to lead improvement projects.
- Assist in creating reports for clinical and financial analytics, ad‑hoc and on‑cycle, working with multiple departments across ADVENT.
- Coordinate and support implementation of EHR at new clinics and with new team members, partnering with other departments to ensure execution meets expectations and deadlines.
- Adhere to all data entry policies for the EHR system, following business rules to maintain highest data quality.
- Identify, propose, and implement continual improvements to drive process efficiency, scalability, and innovation within your scope of work.
- Support overall organizational success and perform other related duties as requested by leadership.
- Plan and adapt to business growth and strategy, cross‑training where necessary to accommodate different situations and locations.
- Follow all legal and compliance requirements, including HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient privacy.
- Bachelor’s degree in a business‑related field or a minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role/environment.
- Healthcare experience required.
- 4+ years using an EHR or practice management software platform preferred.
- 1–2 years of project management, performance/continuous improvement, or consulting role preferred.
- Strong professional presence, business acumen, excellent organizational and interpersonal communication skills, and organizational agility.
- Excellent time‑management skills, ability to work autonomously with minimal direction, anticipate needs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in typical office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) and expert experience in Excel for data import, mapping, cleanup, and export.
- Fluent written and spoken English with ability to explain technical information to a broad range of audiences.
- Understanding of basic math functions used in insurance payment settings.
- Must live in the Milwaukee area and be able to work onsite at least 3 days per week.
