Brief Description

Hours are 11 a.m. – 7 p.m. during the week and every other weekend 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Welcome to Oak Park Place, where your talents are celebrated, your growth is nurtured, and your work truly matters. The Activity Assistant job responsibilities include planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and social events to enhance the well-being of residents with a goal of promoting regular socialization and physical activity.

• Working under the direction of the Activity Director you will help organize, plan, and execute a well-balanced activity program
• Organize, lead, and promote interest in recreational activities, such as arts, crafts, and games
• Generate positivity and encourage resident participation
• Work with all departments to ensure resident needs are being met
• Assess the needs and interests of individuals and groups and plan activities accordingly

• A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
• Previous experience working with the elderly preferred
• Previous experience in an activity’s role preferred
