The Tech Product Manager supports the technology product management organization in designing, developing, and managing activities for specific products throughout their lifecycle—from definition and planning through production, release, and end-of-life. This role ensures alignment with product strategy, market needs, and technical capabilities while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal product performance.
Key Responsibilities- Support capabilities under a product area and understand the “what & why” of user stories.
- Demonstrate empathy for the customer journey and applicable personas.
- Collaborate with users, business, technology, and product teams to enhance consumer experience.
- Partner with product managers/owners to prioritize work and meet obligations.
- Understand product strategy, roadmap, demand, priorities, and scrum team capacity.
- Ensure user stories align with OKRs; decompose capabilities into features/stories.
- Work with engineering teams on requirements and user stories; gather necessary business information.
- Balance operational and technical needs; articulate core technology enabling business functions.
- Support backlog prioritization and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Operate effectively in an ambiguous, dynamic environment with a growth mindset.
- HS Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience leveraging AI tools in the product lifecycle to improve quality and efficiency.
- 3+ years in product management or technology delivery roles.
- 3+ years working in agile or scaled agile environments.
- 3+ years analyzing customer needs, engagement, and product performance.
- 1+ years executing work across matrixed product teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years in product management or technology delivery roles alongside engineers.
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to represent the voice of the customer in technical discussions.
- Experience with application development and software integrations.
- Solid research and problem-solving skills; ability to achieve goals in a matrix environment.
- Healthcare experience and familiarity with state/federal government clients.
