We are seeking an experienced Fire Extinguisher Recharge Shop Manager to lead and oversee our extinguisher recharge operations. This role is critical to ensuring that our recharge shop operates like a well‑oiled machine, producing consistent, high‑quality results that support our technicians in the field.

You’ll be responsible for recharging and conducting hydrostatic testing on a wide variety of fire extinguishers (excluding CO₂), managing shop workflow, and maintaining organization and efficiency. This is a position for someone who takes pride in their craft, thrives with independence, and can meet production demands while keeping the shop clean and professional.

• Perform 6‑year internal inspections and 12‑year hydrostatic tests across most extinguisher types:
• Clean Agent (Halon, Halotron, FE-36)
• Ansul kitchen system tanks
• Dry chemical (including paint booth tanks)
• Other common commercial/industrial extinguishers
• Recharge 50–60 units per day with consistent quality (no leaks, clean and properly serviced units).
• Operate and maintain shop equipment, including:
• (2) Getz Fire Equipment Innovators 450 lb. dry chemical hoppers
• Dust collection system
• Clean agent recharge/capture stations
• Manual hydrostatic test station
• Keep the shop organized, clean, and efficient to minimize downtime.
• Work with leadership to help shape future improvements, automation, and shop redesign.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards, manufacturer requirements, and industry best practices.
• Provide feedback on equipment upgrades and process improvements as we prepare for major shop investments.

• Extensive hands‑on experience recharging and performing hydrostatic tests on extinguishers (excluding CO₂).
• Knowledge of multiple extinguisher manufacturers and their service requirements.
• Familiarity with Getz recharge equipment (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to independently manage workload.
• Proven track record of working in a high‑volume recharge environment.
• Attention to detail to ensure quality standards and safe practices are upheld.
