We are seeking a talented and committed physician for a locum position, providing critical obstetric and gynecologic care, including hospital deliveries and emergency cases. This role offers the flexibility and support you need to excel while ensuring excellent patient outcomes in a compassionate environment.
What You’ll Do:- Provide comprehensive OB hospitalist coverage, including deliveries, triage, and gynecological emergencies.
- Manage an average of 1-4 deliveries per shift.
- Handle unassigned GYN emergencies and collaborate with a dedicated team to ensure seamless patient care.
- Utilize a TBD EMR system to document and coordinate patient information efficiently.
- Engage in clinic and call responsibilities following the MHAS model, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
- Current licensed physician with board eligibility in OB/GYN.
- Proven experience in obstetric and gynecologic care within a hospital setting.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Skills:
- Previous experience in hospitalist roles or similar settings.
- Familiarity with Level 1 NICU care.
- Experience with EMR systems, preferably in obstetrics.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
- Active medical license in Iowa or eligible for licensure.
- At least 2 years of recent obstetrics and gynecology experience.
- Availability to start as early as December 31, 2025.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule on a call basis.
- Compliance with all applicable hospital and state licensing requirements.
- Ability to travel for on-site coverage when necessary, with applicable reimbursements.
