Join Our Team as a Locum OB Hospitalist – Waverly, IA
Are you a dedicated OB Hospitalist seeking a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in patient care? We are seeking passionate and skilled physicians to join our team on a locum basis, providing essential obstetric care and support in a dynamic hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee obstetric cases, including OB triage, unassigned gynecological emergencies, and deliveries.
- Provide GYN coverage as needed.
- Handle an expected volume of approximately 13+ patient encounters per day.
- Participate in hospital deliveries, with an average caseload of 1-4 per shift.
- Deliver high-quality care in a Level 1 NICU environment.
- Valid medical license and board eligibility or certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Proven experience in obstetric and gynecological care.
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a hospital team and handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Skills:
- Experience working in hospitalist roles or in high-volume obstetric settings.
- Knowledge of EMR systems (system details to be determined).
- Experience in managing complex pregnancies or deliveries.
Education and Experience:
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
- Prior hospitalist or OB hospitalist experience preferred.
- Active medical license in IA or ability to obtain licensure.
- Start date:
December 31, 2025. - Hourly pay rate of $195.00.
- Must have or be eligible for appropriate certifications and licenses.
- Ability to work a clinic and call schedule as required.
- Travel and licensure reimbursements provided where applicable.
