- Para educator Certificate (Early Childhood emphasis)
- CDA Credential
- or 2 years of college
Position Summary
The Preschool Para educator works alongside and under the direct supervision of a licensed Early Childhood Educator to provide a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for preschool-aged children. This role focuses on supporting the academic, social-emotional, and physical development of young learners in alignment with the Iowa Early Learning Standards (IELS) and Iowa Quality Preschool Program Standards (IQPPS).
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and family information in compliance with FERPA.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within an educational team and build respectful relationships with diverse families.
