Position Summary
Support the Human Resource department in policy development, benefit administration, recruitment, safety compliance, training and development, and meeting other human resource goals of United Equipment Accessories, Inc.
Maintain effective communication channels and organize company events and employee activities as requested.
Other projects and duties as assigned by the Human Resource Manager.
Reporting RelationshipsThis position reports directly to the Human Resource Manager. No positions report directly to this position.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities, and Measurements of Performance- Follow rules and processes as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality Manual and Safety training regarding conduct and performance standards expected of all employees.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive and private information.
- Maintain a positive work attitude that reflects the UEA Core Values (Accountability, Care, Hardworking/Dedicated, Creative Problem Solver and Knowledge Seeker).
- Work closely with the Human Resource Manager to meet the HR needs of UEA including policy development, benefit administration, recruitment, safety compliance, training and development, and meeting other human resource goals.
- Support recruitment for entry‑level positions including supporting recruitment activities such as position advertisement, candidate sourcing, applicant communications and new hire onboarding and orientation training; assist with technical and leadership recruitment as determined by HR Manager.
- Coordinate the Employee Wellness Program, including organizing activities, facilitating wellness screenings, promoting wellness initiatives, etc.
- Coordinate safety program and policies including training, inspections and audits; responsible for preventing, reducing and eliminating harmful situations. Lead and direct safety team including initiatives and meetings.
- Support training needs at UEA.
- Track and process insurance invoices and monthly premium payments to ensure accuracy and on‑time coverage.
- Assist in industry, state and federal regulatory compliance.
- Help develop, communicate, and implement new or revised policies and procedures and ensure consistent application of UEA HR policies and procedures reinforcing diversity in the workplace.
- Support employee relations, assist with coordinating employee activities, and executing company events.
- Support effective UEA communications and employee culture with ongoing updates on Paylocity.
- Keep up‑to‑date on current issues, trends, and laws in the Human Resources field.
- Consistently and effectively identify, manage and complete multiple responsibilities accurately, timely and within budget, including communication and follow‑through on task information, status, and questions to the appropriate people.
- Demonstrate collaborative working relationships, good judgment, reasoning and professional conduct in all business interactions, representing UEA favorably with employees, customers, and vendors.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for the position and situation.
- Demonstrate physical, regular, and punctual attendance and communicate scheduled and unscheduled absences in advance.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Human Resource Manager.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Communication, Business Administration or a related discipline preferred. HR Certification (SHRM, HRCI) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years combined experience or education in Human Resources, Business, Administrative Support, or Communications. Prior working experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Prior safety and training experience strongly preferred.
- Skills: Strong listening, written, and oral communication skills are essential to effectively collect and disseminate information with visitors and employees at all levels of the organization. Professionalism, time management, organization, and prioritization skills are critical competencies.
