JOB SUMMARYThe Factory Training Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs for factory employees. This role focuses on enhancing workforce skills, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement. The specialist will collaborate with various departments to identify training needs and deliver effective training solutions that align with the company’s operational goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Training Program Development- Schedule training programs that address the specific needs of factory operations, including safety, equipment operation, quality control, and process improvement.
- Update training materials, including manuals, presentations, and e-learning modules.
- Facilitate training sessions for new hires and provide ongoing training for existing employees to ensure competency in their roles.
- Utilize various training methods, including hands-on demonstrations, classroom instruction, and virtual training.
- Collaborate with management and department leaders to assess training needs and identify skill gaps within the workforce.
- Conduct regular evaluations to measure the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Ensure all training programs comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies
- Promote a safe working environment by emphasizing safety and quality protocols during training sessions
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and assessment results through the use of digital tools such as Poka
- Prepare reports on training outcomes and employee progress for management review
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new training methodologies to enhance training effectiveness
- Gather feedback from trainees and management to improve training programs continuously
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Training and Development, Organization Development, or a related field desired. Equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree is acceptable
- Exposure to cross-functional teams and matrixed organizations
- Minimum 2 years of experience in training or a similar role, ideally within a factory setting
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, safety standards, and quality assurance practices preferred
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with dashboard tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qualtrics) and data analysis preferred
- Strong aptitude for leveraging technology to enhance and accelerate all aspects of the role
- Ability to engage and motivate a diverse workforce
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- The position may require standing for long periods and working in a factory environment with machinery and equipment
- Adherence to safety protocols and guidelines is essential
