Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Electrician/ Electrician Installation
Electronic Controls Technicians (ECTs) are PLC technicians responsible for all factory electrical, electronic, and equipment controls, focusing on safety, quality, and production efficiency.
Responsibilities- Install and troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical components (motors, VFDs, sensors, relays). (30%)
- Maintain automation software, documentation, PLC programs, and CAD files.
- Maintain instrumentation programs: install, calibrate, update documentation.
- Perform control system troubleshooting; communicate project/backlog/safety updates. (10%)
- Perform electrical and safety compliance checks. (10%)
- Collaborate on production line improvements. (10%)
- Ensure NEC, OSHA, and NFPA compliance.
Prerequisites:
- 2-year Electrical Technician degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong electrical design and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in RS Logix 500, RS Logix 5000, Factory Talk View, Device Net, Ether Net, Data Highway, Microsoft Windows, LOTO, 480V troubleshooting, electrical symbols/prints, NFPA 70e.

Experience:
- Intellution iFix, Wonderware InTouch, RS Asset Centre, SAP, AutoCAD, Wireless technologies, Motion Controls, Robotics, High-speed cameras, X-Ray, Calibration instrumentation, Checkweighers, Labelers, Electrician certification, AC/DC systems.
- Sitting, standing, walking, lifting.
- Indoor/outdoor work.
- Good hearing and eyesight; must distinguish wire colors.
- Document material usage; maintain stock levels.
- Perform PMs, repairs, and adjustments.
- Supervisor approval required for modifications.
- Complete PM checklists and work orders.
- Train less skilled personnel.
- Attend required annual training.
- No hoarding of prints, parts, or records.
- Fully document program changes.
- Work reviewed by supervision.
- Make troubleshooting and PM decisions.
- Assimilate new technologies.
- Work closely with IT, Engineering, E&A.
- Follow Waverly safety objectives and rules.
- Report incidents and unsafe conditions.
- Support environmental policy, pollution prevention, waste minimization, and energy conservation.
- Hourly Rate – $37.94 plus shift differential.
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday core hours, some weekends. - Shift: 3rd Shift, 12am-8am.
