SHIFT / SCHEDULE DETAILSShift: 2nd Shift
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Perform repair, preventive maintenance, modification, and installation of plant processing equipment and infrastructure to maximize efficiency and longevity Troubleshoot electrical systems, instrument controllers, and pneumatic control systems Install conduit, repair lift trucks, and complete equipment overhauls Maintain and repair plant support systems, including compressed air, steam, water, sewer, HVAC, and ammonia refrigeration Fabricate and repair components using stainless steel, aluminum, and ferrous metals Operate a variety of welding and cutting equipment, including TIG, stick, spot welders, oxy‑acetylene, and plasma torches Apply industrial coatings, caulking, and grouting materials with proper preparation techniques Disassemble and reassemble plant equipment for cleaning, repair, and changeovers Support production changeovers to meet shifting line requirements Maintain a clean, organized shop area and follow all safety and housekeeping standards Follow all safety, quality, food safety, and environmental requirements at all times
REQUIREMENTSHigh school diploma or GED preferred Basic mechanical Basic mechanical background with cutting and welding knowledge Trade school, technical training, or military experience helpful Understanding of basic electricity and its application in an industrial setting Experience with power tools, hand tools, welding and cutting equipment, and electrical testing tools Comfortable using computers for work orders, documentation, and basic communication Ability to work off‑shifts, weekends, overtime, and extended shifts as needed
SKILLSFabrication and welding skills across multiple materials and processes Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting ability Familiarity with plant support systems, including HVAC and ammonia refrigeration Attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond effectively to changing needs Effective communication and teamwork skills
