Job Summary

The Director of Library Services is responsible for the leadership and management of library resources, services, personnel, and operations across all university locations. This role oversees public services, reference, circulation, acquisitions, and library instruction while fostering a Christ-centered learning environment and leadership to staff and students.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership, supervision, training, and evaluation for all library personnel and locations.
  • Manage daily operations, library budget, and the selection and acquisition of print, digital, and media resources to support academic programs and accreditation standards.
  • Participate in Institutional Effectiveness, including assessment, annual reporting, and data collection for institutional research and accrediting agencies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain library policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide library instruction for orientation and academic courses as requested and promote information literacy.
  • Communicate new resources, services, and initiatives to the university community.
  • Maintain appropriate conduct, safety, and service standards within library facilities.

  • Master’s degree required (Library Science preferred).
  • Knowledge of information technology and library services.
  • Demonstrated leadership, planning, and supervisory ability.
  • Commitment to the University’s Christian mission and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students.
