Mechanical CAD Designer HVACR Equipment requires:

• Proficient in CAD software (Inventor, Solid Works, AutoCAD, Creo, etc.).
• Strong spatial reasoning, geometry skills, technical drawing acumen, and mechanical comprehension.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in HVACR, electromechanical systems, piping, sheet metal, wiring preferred.
• Familiarity with GD&T standards, revision control, and ECN processes.
• CAD Associates Degree, Engineer, Architecture, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering Technology degree.

Preferred Background

• Experience at HVACR OEMs or similar manufacturing environments.
• Ability to manage complex assemblies, tolerance calculations, and cross-functional design integration.
• Translate sketches, notes, and engineering input into detailed CAD drawings (2D/3D), assemblies, wiring diagrams, etc.
• Use CAD tools (e.g., Autodesk Inventor, Solid Works, AutoCAD) to build models of mechanical components.
• Create and maintain fabrication documentation, submittals, and production-level drawings.
• Ensure compliance with CAD standards, manage revision control (ECN), and maintain BOM and CAD libraries.
• Engage in design reviews, iterate based on feedback, and enhance designs for manufacturability and performance.
