Personal Care Attendant

Job Purpose /p>

Care Mate Wellness Solutions provides personal and living assistance services to individuals in the comfort of their own home or residence for the purpose of promoting, maintaining, or restoring health or minimizing the effects of illness or disability.

Duties and Responsibilities ul> li>Supports clients by assisting with the Activities of Daily Living or ADLs (bathing/dressing/toileting/hygiene/meal prep/assistance with meals/mobility monitoring/medication reminders) li>Provide direct personal care of a non‑medical nature, following an approved plan of care li>Perform safety & wellness observations each shift. Communicates with the agency about any changes in condition or living environment li>Maintain a safe work and living environment, ensuring the area where care is provided is free from falls, fire, and trip hazards.

Adhere to agency safety standards and procedures li>Help family members or primary caregivers care for the client by teaching appropriate ways to transfer, turn, and reposition if necessary li>Update job knowledge by participating in agency‑required training and education opportunities li>Enhance agency & service reputation by accepting ownership of exploring opportunities to add value to services offered /ul> Skills/Qualifications ul> li>
Must have 6 months or more of prior direct caregiving experience li>Must be self-directed and service-oriented li>Need good interpersonal skills, must be service-oriented, possess good bedside manner li>Must have patience and compassion for elderly and/or disabled individuals li>Experience working with individuals with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease, or be willing to participate in training to provide service li>Skilled in verbal and written communication /ul> Other Requirements ul> li>Must be dependable and have reliable transportation li>Must meet background eligibility requirements li>Must provide 2 Professional References li>Must complete all assigned training by agency deadlines /ul> p>The duties listed in this job post are not meant to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.
