The City of Waxahachie is pleased to announce that we are seeking a Utility Plant Operator/Trainee to join our Utilities Department in Wastewater Treatment. Salary Range Utility Plant Operator Trainee $51,486.47 - $72,081.06 (DOQ)

Salary Range Utility Plant Operator $62,582.13 - $87,614.98 (DOQ)

Utility Plant Operator Trainee

Education, Training and

Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• No experience is necessary; however, preference may be given to applicants that have field-related education, training, licensing, or exceed the minimum qualifications for this position.
• Must be able to read, write, and use math skills to work with complicated formulas, equipment, chemicals, etc. under all working conditions.

Licenses and Certificates:

• A valid State driver's license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid class "D" license by the end of the 6-month orientation period.
• Ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid class "C" water operator's license issued by the State of Texas within 18 months of employment.

Utility Plant Operator

Education, Training and

Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED, supplemented by specialized training in utility plant operations.
• One year of utility plant operations and maintenance experience.

Licenses and Certificates:

• A valid State driver license is required at the time of appointment and must be maintained throughout employment.
• Possession and maintenance of, an appropriate, valid class "C" water operator's license issued by the TCEQ.
