Reclaim Operator

Job Description

As a reclaim operator you will be responsible for processing and recycling scrap plastic materials using reclaim equipment while supporting efficient production operations. Reporting to the
Production Supervisor
, you'll work closely with a dedicated team in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where your contributions directly impact our success.

As part of the you’ll be responsible for...

• Remove scrap plastic from gaylords and process material through reclaim machinery.
• Set up, operate, and monitor reclaim equipment to ensure compliance with operating specifications.
• Ensure efficient and economical use of materials and help reduce wasteful practices.
• Unload trailers and stock packaging supplies.
• Maintain compliance with ISO  departmental standards.
• Operate a forklift safely to transport scrap material.
• Follow all required safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• High school diploma or GED, preferred.
• Must be able to lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to drive a forklift.
• Extrusion experience preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot extrusion equipment is preferred.
• Mechanically inclined.
• Experience in a teamworkoriented environment is a plus.
• Working knowledge of extrusion or converting equipment and processes desired.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Must be able to wear required PPE, including eye protection, hearing protection, and steeltoe shoes.
• Must be able to frequently stand, stoop, and bend to pick up and move material within the reclaim area.

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. regularly.
• Frequent standing, bending, reaching, and material handling throughout the shift.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.

• Production/manufacturing setting.
• Exposure to moving machinery, plastics, and moderate noise levels.
• Required use of PPE at all times.
