Contractor - 1099 Waxahachie, TX, US

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) for a contract opportunity providing healthcare services within a jail/correctional setting.

• 12‑hour shifts available
• AM, PM, and weekend schedules
• Contract position with potential for permanent hire

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to inmate/patients within scope of practice
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Conduct patient assessments and document findings
• Respond to medical concerns and urgent healthcare needs
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Adhere to all facility security, safety, and confidentiality policies

Requirements

• Current Texas LVN license in good standing
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Current professional liability/malpractice insurance required
• Previous clinical nursing experience required
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to work effectively in a correctional/jail environment
• Strong assessment, communication, and documentation skills
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and facility clearance requirements
