Join Baylor Scott & White Health's growing cardiovascular program at The Heart Hospital in Waxahachie. This is a unique opportunity to work in a combined Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) environment, allowing you to expand your clinical expertise while being part of a close-knit, highly collaborative team.
Position Highlights:
* Full-Time | 40 hours/week, Day shift
* 4 - 10-hour shifts
* No call currently
* Future STEMI call requirement expected within the next year
* Work across both Cath Lab and EP specialties
About the Department:
* Joint Cath Lab and EP program
* 2 procedural rooms with a 3rd room in development
* Growing, high-impact cardiovascular service line
What You'll Do:
* Provide direct patient care in Cath Lab and EP procedural settings
* Assist physicians during invasive cardiac and electrophysiology procedures
* Prepare, monitor, and recover patients
* Maintain sterile technique and scrub in procedures as needed
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient outcomes

Minimum Qualifications:
* RN License
* ICU experience required
* Ability to live within 30-minute call radius (future call requirement)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Cath Lab and/or EP experience
* Scrubbing experience

Job Summary
The Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional. The RN uses the BSWH nursing model to coordinate patient care. Using the nursing process, the RN assesses the patient and identifies nursing diagnoses. The RN develops and implements an individualized care plan and evaluates the patient's response. The RN promotes safe passage for patients by using knowledge of patient needs.
The RN helps patients transition through healthcare without preventable complications or delays. The RN delegates interventions to healthcare personnel based on the Texas Nursing Practice Act. Delegation also considers each patient's condition and the employee's competencies.
Essential Functions of the Role
* Clinical Judgment:
Using clinical reasoning, conducts accurate assessments according to standards. Identifies and prioritizes patient and family needs. Develops, implements, and evaluates the nursing care plan. Modifies the plan to meet outcomes.
* Clinical Inquiry:
Evaluates nursing practice quality and effectiveness, including nursing indicators. Supports evidence-based practice changes through research and learning. Participates in quality improvement initiatives.
* Caring Practices:
