LVN/LPN Opportunity

Find your passion and purpose as an LVN/LPN in the Waco Office. This full-time position covers Ellis and Hill County and operates Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm. On-call availability is required.

Salary: $65,000-$79,000 per year (estimated annual compensation)

This position is paid on a per-visit basis.

What You Need to Know

Under the supervision of an RN, the LVN/LPN provides direct patient care. The LVN/LPN observes and documents the patient's medical progress and nursing status changes under the direction of a registered nurse. This position provides direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you:

• Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
• Currently Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse in the state of agency operation
• One year of LVN/LPN work experience
• Ability to provide nursing visits according to the treatment as prescribed by the physician and provide and maintain paperwork to maintain accurate and complete medical records
• Must possess and maintain valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role
• Must be a licensed driver who can travel to all business locations

Responsibilities

As a LVN/LPN, you will:

• Perform technical nursing functions and direct patient care consistent with the established plan of care and under the supervision of an RN.
• Promote and maintain optimal client care under the supervision of an RN.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Identify and communicate significant abnormalities in patients data to case manager and other appropriate home health team members.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments as permitted by law. Assess all medicines a client may be taking to identify possible ineffective drug therapy or adverse reactions, significant side effects, drug allergies, contraindicated medications and report any problems to the physician.
• Re-evaluate client's nursing needs and report findings to Case Manager.
• Counsel and instruct the client and family in meeting nursing and related needs.
• Prepare clinical and progress notes.
• Submit all documentation in a timely manner in accordance with agency policy.
• Documentation on patients chart correlates with nursing care plan.
• Communicate frequently and work closely with other home care team members.
• Assist in coordinating services provided to client
