Dairy Manager

As a Dairy Manager at Sprouts Farmers Market, you will lead all aspects of our Dairy department within Retail Operations, ensuring fresh, high-quality products and an exceptional shopping experience. You'll manage ordering, inventory, merchandising, and food safety while driving sales and margin goals. You will hire, train, and coach team members, fostering Sprouts' friendly, inclusive culture centered on healthy living and community.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader passionate about natural foods, sustainability, and delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced, growth-focused grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of the Dairy department, ensuring fully stocked, fresh, and visually appealing cases aligned with Sprouts standards.
• Manage ordering, inventory, rotation, and shrink to meet sales and margin targets while minimizing waste.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, labeling, and temperature-control standards.
• Hire, train, schedule, and coach team members to deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service.
• Engage with customers, answer product questions, and promote Sprouts' natural, organic, and sustainable offerings.
• Analyze sales reports, adjust merchandising and pricing strategies, and support promotional programs.
• Partner with Store and other Department Managers to maintain storewide consistency and a safe work environment.
• Support physical inventories, audits, and loss-prevention initiatives within the Dairy department.
• Foster an inclusive, team-oriented culture focused on healthy living, learning, and community involvement.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of department processes, merchandising, and customer experience.
