Back up Scan, Retail Support

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Backup Scan Associate to support accurate pricing and item maintenance in our retail stores. In this role, you will assist with scanning product barcodes, updating prices, and verifying promotional signage to ensure shelves reflect correct information for customers and cashiers. You'll coordinate with department teams to resolve discrepancies, maintain organized scan reports, and support weekly ad and price changes.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, comfortable with basic computer systems, and eager to contribute to a friendly, health-focused grocery environment.

Responsibilities

• Scan and verify product barcodes to ensure accurate pricing at registers and shelves
• Update and maintain price files in store systems for new, discontinued, and changed items
• Check and correct shelf tags and promotional signage for accuracy and timeliness
• Support weekly ad, markdown, and promotional price changes across departments
• Investigate and resolve price discrepancies reported by cashiers or customers
• Generate and review scan reports to identify missing or incorrect item data
• Coordinate with department managers to ensure items are properly labeled and coded
• Maintain organized records of price changes and scan audits
• Operate POS and scanning equipment safely and efficiently
• Follow Sprouts' policies on safety, confidentiality, and customer service standards
