Georgia‑Pacific is hiring a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician Lead to join our Corrugated facility in Waxahachie, TX.
This position provides Maintenance support to all areas of Operations and will be responsible for the supervision of Maintenance Technicians.
Pay Rate- $40.31
- Off shift, shift differential = $2.00
- Compensation increases based on skills and contribution.
- 3rd shift: 11:00pm-7:00am (starts Monday night)
- Overtime, holidays and weekends as needed
- 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
- Overtime, holidays and weekends as needed

What You Will Do- Plan, monitor, and supervise all activities associated with Maintenance technicians of assigned areas.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment including power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment; install, start‑up and shut‑down equipment in accordance with safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance and act as a working team leader.
- Fabricate, perform predictive maintenance, and conduct routine checks.
- Assist both Operations and Maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting.
- Assist and train other Maintenance and/or technical level employees.
- Communicate effectively with others at various levels using both oral and written communication skills.
- Participate in a team environment and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, major capital projects, equipment installations and facility improvements.
- Complete necessary reporting and required documentation.
- Train others and foster a positive team environment.
- Travel may be required for training.
- 5+ years of proven industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience, specifically in mechanical and electrical/electronics.
- Experience in high volume manufacturing.
- Experience in troubleshooting industrial electrical controls, including PLCs, HMIs and AC/DC drives.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Experience troubleshooting issues and making repairs on bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, conveyors, etc.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings.
- Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings and pumps, and lubrication.
- Associate’s degree in electrical and/or mechanical technology.
- Prior maintenance experience in the packaging industry with focus on converting/corrugating equipment.
- Experience as a Maintenance Lead.
