Georgia-Pacific is hiring a Multi Craft Maintenance Technician Lead to join our Corrugated facility in Waxahachie, TX
.

This position provides Maintenance support to all areas of Operations and will be responsible for the supervision of Maintenance Technicians.

• $40.31
• Compensation may increase based on skills and contribution to plant performance.

• 3rd shift: 11:00 pm–7:00 am (starting Monday night)
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.

• Plan, monitor and supervise all activities related to Maintenance technicians of assigned areas.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical/electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment, including power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment.
• Install, start‑up and shut‑down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance functions and act as a working Team Leader.
• Assist in fabrication, predictive maintenance, and routine checks.
• Provide technical troubleshooting support to both Operations and Maintenance personnel.
• Assist and train other Maintenance and/or technical level employees.
• Communicate effectively with others using oral and written skills.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, major capital projects, equipment installations and facility improvements.
• Maintain all necessary reporting and required documentation.
• Train others and foster a positive team environment.
• Travel for training purposes may be required.

• 5+ years of proven industrial/manufacturing maintenance experience in mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience in high‑volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting industrial electrical controls, including PLCs, HMIs, and AC/DC drives.
• Ability to read and understand electrical prints.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and conveyors.
• Proficiency in reading mechanical drawings.
• Experience with precision alignment of motors, couplings, bearings, and pumps, including lubrication.

• Associate’s degree in electrical and/or mechanical technology.
• Prior maintenance experience in the packaging industry with a focus on converting/corrugating equipment.
• Experience as a Maintenance Lead.
• Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting.
