Position Summary
As an Instructor Pilot and Campus Ambassador, you are a mission-driven professional who champions the next generation of missionaries. You will identify, engage, and equip students for strategic roles, bridge the gap between campus and mission field, and cultivate lasting relationships to fuel mobilization. In this dual role, you will serve as a trusted representative of JAARS, advance recruitment initiatives, and support aviation training with excellence.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead Aviation Consults with prospective students, providing insight and guidance into serving with JAARS.
- Assess student resumes and credentials to identify qualified recruits in partnership with Recruitment and HR teams.
- Manage recruitment caseload, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates in Salesforce, while building trust and rapport with recruits throughout the exploration and application process.
- Engage with students on campus by hosting meetings, sharing opportunities, and distributing resources about JAARS, as well as actively praying for and supporting leads, offering mentorship and discipleship when appropriate.
- Participate in monthly Recruitment Team meetings, contributing insights from campus engagement.
- Deliver flight instruction in alignment with ISJAO and FOM standards, ensuring consistency and compliance in training.
- Prepare and debrief the PUI for every training event to maximize learning outcomes.
- Document all training activity with accurate forms and reports; track progress and communicate updates to Aviation Training Coordinators.
- Support Recruitment and Engagement events through on-demand flight service and demonstration.
- A deep and growing walk with the Lord Jesus that includes your personal spiritual growth and the ability to support others in their spiritual growth.
- Embrace the vision, mission, and core values of JAARS.
- Demonstrated alignment with JAARS mission, ISJAO, FOM, and FAA regulations.
- Meets ISJAO standards and maintains current qualifications.
- Proficient or willing to train in Salesforce for lead tracking and follow-up.
- Minimum one-term overseas field experience in an SO context.
- Holds a current FAA Certified Flight Instructor certificate and remains current in aircraft used for training.
- Exceptional interpersonal and instructional skills; able to teach, evaluate, and coach with clarity and professionalism.
- Adaptable and solutions-focused; thrives in dynamic, evolving environments with shifting priorities.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, meet deadlines, and execute strategic plans.
- Effective communicator across platforms and audiences, with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
