7th Grade Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher

The 7th Grade Language Arts/Social Studies Teacher is responsible for providing engaging, standards-based instruction that develops students' literacy, communication, critical thinking, and historical inquiry skills. This teacher creates a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students are challenged to read, write, speak, listen, and think critically while exploring historical events, geography, civics, and culture through the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.

Responsibilities include planning and delivering high-quality lessons, using data to inform instruction, differentiating to meet diverse learning needs, collaborating with colleagues in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), maintaining strong communication with families, integrating technology to enhance learning, and fostering a classroom culture that promotes academic excellence, respect, responsibility, and a love of learning.
