Under general supervision, the Part-Time Case Manager Assistant provides essential clerical and administrative support to the Southeast Health District Wellness Program case management team. This position assists case managers with medication assistance applications, including gathering required documentation and ensuring timely submission. The Case Manager Assistant is responsible for contacting clients to obtain necessary information, verifying eligibility for insurance assistance programs, and maintaining accurate records to monitor clients’ insurance status.
The role also involves regular communication with clients, insurance providers, state-funded programs, and community partners to facilitate continuity of care and access to services. Additional responsibilities include scanning and organizing documents, entering data into the electronic medical record, and accurately documenting client information in the statewide Ryan White reporting system. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma/GED and two (2) years of experience in a clerical, administrative, or customer service role.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include prior experience in a healthcare, public health, or social services setting, particularly in a clerical or administrative support role, or precious case management experience. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, is preferred. Basic knowledge of insurance or assistance programs and proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience working with HIV position clients.
