Job DescriptionAssists with adult client one on one enrolled in a day program with daily life, social and academic skills and/or behavior management training. Observes and monitors client’s behavior and charts observations and incidents. Staff may need to assist with changing. Serves as role model and provides emotional support and feedback to client & their support system.
Anticipated ScheduleWill work Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 2 PM.
Competencies- Ability to observe and monitor program participants’ behavior
- ability to redirect behavioral outbursts
- ability to train program participants in routine daily living skills
- ability to work flexible hours
- ability to participate in supportive guidance. Must be proficient with computers.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, and six months social services experience.
- Valid driver’s license with 6 points or fewer.
- Must be at least 21 years of age with three years driving experience (per policy) to provide transportation.
- Experience with developmentally delayed population preferred.
- CNA preferred.
