- Seeking a highly-qualified individual to take over a combined Suzuki/traditional studio of 6+ hours, Saturdays, for fall 2026.
- Wayland School of Music is a thriving school with a reputation for excellence, in a town that values music education. Enrollment grows via referrals from local families and public schools, Early Childhood feeder classes, local endorsements, and marketing.
- Suzuki parents are required to attend parent education and observations before enrolling. We reimburse 50% of continued Suzuki training.
- All lessons are in one location. Student attendance policies underscore respect for teachers’ time and professionalism, and are firmly upheld.
- Teach weekly private lessons (Suzuki and traditional) to age preschool to high school, and weekly Suzuki group classes.
- Prepare students for twice-yearly recitals and other community performances.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Music Education or Music Performance
- Minimum 8-10 years professional teaching experience
- Performance credits that demonstrate professional-level performing competence
- Suzuki training through at least book 2, with intention to go further
- Ability to teach both traditional and Suzuki approaches, as we have students of both
- Viola ability a definite plus
- Ability to be part of a team.
