** Purpose
* * The HR Generalist serves as the primary on-site Human Resources resource for the Wayland location, providing day-to-day HR support to employees and managers while partnering closely with the HR Manager and Vice President of Human Resources. This role supports a broad range of Human Resources functions, including onboarding, recruiting coordination, HR administration, compliance, employee communications, employee engagement, and HR operations, helping to ensure a positive and consistent employee  addition to Human Resources responsibilities, the HR Generalist oversees the daily operations of the Wayland office to maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workplace.

This role coordinates office facilities, vendor relationships, supplies, and administrative operations while serving as a key resource for employees and visitors.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative, service-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains confidentiality, exercises sound judgment, and effectively balances Human Resources responsibilities with office operations. This position serves as the local HR presence for the Wayland office while working under the guidance of the HR Manager and Vice President of Human Resources to ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and organizational initiatives.
** Responsibilities
* ** Human Resources
** Serve as the primary on-site HR contact for employees and managers at the Wayland location.
* Support the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and employee transitions.
* Coordinate new hire onboarding, including pre-employment paperwork, I-9 completion, orientation scheduling, and workstation readiness in partnership with IT and hiring managers.
* Maintain employee personnel files and HR records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with company policies and employment regulations.
* Update and maintain the HR SharePoint site with current job openings, newsletters, policies, forms, and employee resources.
* Assist with recruiting activities, including posting positions, scheduling interviews, coordinating candidate communications, and supporting hiring managers throughout the recruitment process.
* Prepare and distribute the Monthly Attendance Report.
* Coordinate employee recognition initiatives and affiliate gift distribution.
* Process monthly Met Life billing and maintain supporting documentation.
* Create and process purchase orders in Net Suite, ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
* Assist with HR audits, compliance initiatives, policy administration, training coordination, and special projects.
* Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, procedures, benefits, and general employment matters, referring complex issues to the HR Manager or VP of Human Resources as appropriate.
* Support employee engagement initiatives, company events, and wellness activities.
* Perform additional Human Resources duties and special projects as assigned.

** Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Wayland office to ensure an organized, professional, and welcoming work environment.
* Recommend and implement office procedures that improve operational efficiency.
* Serve as the primary contact for office-related questions and coordinate communication with employees, vendors, and building management.
** Facilities Management
*** Coordinate office maintenance, repairs, cleaning services, and facility-related requests.
* Manage relationships with external vendors, including janitorial services, maintenance providers, and building management.
* Ensure conference rooms, kitchens, common areas, and supply rooms remain clean, organized, and fully functional.
** Office Supplies & Inventory
*** Manage inventory and purchasing of office supplies, kitchen supplies, snacks, and other workplace essentials.
