Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase organizational and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and serve as the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support team members with seasonal resets and installations. At times you may work with products from other companies in the stores you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 to $18.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Paid training is provided, delivered through live, hands‑on instruction and virtual classroom sessions.
- Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule.
- Average weekly hours are between 7 and 10 hours.
- Availability before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support is also required.
- Use a mobile device to restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory. Technology is critical for communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing required merchandising surveys.
- Provide professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers.
- Manage the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
- Support holiday demand by working additional days and extended hours during holidays such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas; may work on the holiday itself or the weekend.
- Assist with installations and other tasks like building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Notify at least two weeks in advance for remodel assignments. Arrangements may include evenings or weekends.
- Support other team members within Hallmark’s field organization as needed.
This physically demanding role requires ability to push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The role also requires frequent kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing throughout the workday, and may involve climbing stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English.
- Ability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Skill to operate a digital hand‑held device for reading documents and interpreting information.
- Access to Wi‑Fi network and internet.
- Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
