- This is an ongoing W2 contract with potential for conversion
- This is an onsite position in Wayne, MI
- This position offers $42.30/hour, 10 days PTO, medical/retirement contributions (if desired)
- Act as the frontline quality engineer within the vehicle assembly plant, identifying and resolving functional system quality issues
- Investigate component and process-related issues impacting vehicle quality in the plant and remote build centers
- Work closely with Body Exterior engineering to support quality targets for trim, decals, bumpers, latches, and sealing systems
- Review warranty data, customer feedback, and dealership comments to identify trends and categorize issues
- Lead root cause investigations on returned parts and drive interim containment and permanent corrective actions
- Coordinate with dealerships and customers to validate repair information and understand field concerns
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field required
- 3+ years of experience in product development, quality, program, or manufacturing engineering
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis experience
- Experience in an automotive plant or manufacturing environment preferred
- WERS release tool experience strongly preferred
- Six Sigma Black Belt training preferred
- Master's degree preferred
- Fully onsite role
