In this position...
Ranger and Bronco Body Interior Plant Vehicle Team (PVT) Supervisor is responsible for meeting Interior quality objectives (repairs, time to contain, and time to resolve) for current production vehicles. The Bronco/Ranger supervisor leads a team of engineers onsite at Michigan Assembly Plant (MAP) to problem-solve, contain, and resolve quality issues with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
What you'll do...
Lead for Body Interior Plant Vehicle Team (PVT):
- Own functional warranty quality objectives for the base function (R/1000, time to contain, time to resolve)
- Respond to plant/supplier issues before they leave assembly plants. Evaluate chronic and new warranty issues to push for cut off and resolution ASAP
- Co-chair Variability Reduction Team (VRT) meetings and report-outs at the plant
- Lead problem-solving, containment, and resolution of Interior 0-3 MIS warranty
- Lead Balanced Single Agenda Quality (BSAQ) and problem resolution for IRIS Warranty communication and coordination with VFG/Plant/Others, author projects, manage implementation, calculate impact, and handle warranty glidepath forecasting
- Approve current-production WERS Concerns and Alerts for Interior systems
Qualifications
You'll have...
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in PD, manufacturing, and/or quality roles
- Proficient in structured problem-solving techniques (8D, 3L5Y, DMAIC, Six Sigma, etc)
- Knowledge of GSAR, IRIS, SIMPSN, and other quality tools
- Highly motivated and capable of leading cross-functional resolution of quality issues
- Capable of succinctly communicating issues/resolution to all levels of leadership
- Candidates must be able to work 2nd Shift which can be 7am - 4:30pm
- Candidates must be able to work weekends as needed and be on call as needed
Preferred
- Master's Degree in Engineering
- 7+ years of experience in PD, manufacturing, and/or quality roles
- Six Sigma greenbelt or blackbelt certified

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.
