About Corewell Health Wayne Hospital

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital opened its doors to western Wayne communities in 1957. This full‑service hospital is the only hospital in the Wayne, Westland, Garden City, Canton, Inkster and Romulus area verified by the American College of Surgeons as a Level III Trauma Center. The hospital has a longstanding partnership with Detroit Metropolitan Airport and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to handle a wide variety of health and communicable disease concerns including mass trauma and emergency patients.

Scope

of Work

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures performs diagnostic MR exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment and techniques. Follows Beaumont philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care at all times.

Qualifications
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.
  • 1-3 years clinical experience beyond staff radiographer level.
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, RT (R) (MR). Additional MR certification required within 1 year of hire. Must remain in good standing with the ARRT. Technologists working in their modality before 2008 are exempt from additional modality certification.
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers at hire through the American Heart Association.
  • CRT‑Radiation Therapist – ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
  • CRT‑Radiographer (R) – ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
  • CRT‑Sonographer (S) – ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
  • CRT‑Sonographer (S) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire required or
  • CRT‑Nuc Med Technologist (N) – ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist upon hire required or
  • CRT‑Nuclear Medicine Technologist – NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire required or
  • CRT‑Vascular Technologist (VT) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire required or
  • CRT‑Musculoskeletal (MSK) – ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire required and CRT‑Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI) – ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Board Registry 1 year required or
  • CRT‑American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (MRI) – ARMRIT American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists Board Registry 1 year required.
