The Orchards at Wayne is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Language Pathologist at our Wayne, Michigan location, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

About the Role:

As a Speech Language Pathologist at The Orchards at Wayne, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive function, and collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Our Speech Language Pathologist plays a vital role in helping our residents regain independence, confidence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of residents with speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, swallowing, and cognitive functional deficits
  • Provide speech, language, and cognitive therapy to residents in a variety of settings, including individual and group therapy sessions
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and make necessary adjustments
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and therapy sessions
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Clinical Fellowship (CF) completed or eligible for CFY
  • Current license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan
  • Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
