DescriptionThe Yard Supervisor is responsible for ensuring all vehicles are received in process, staged in the yard and labeled according to customer and internal requirements. This will include providing updates on vehicle inventory, report damage on incoming vehicles, report mis-shipped vehicles, and schedule vehicle delivery. This position must comply with company policies and procedures while adhering to OHSA regulations and current Health & Safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receiving all vehicles that come into the yard.
- Properly labeling all vehicles that come into the yard.
- Responsible for correctly staging vehicles according to destinations.
- Communicating with logistics companies regarding vehicles delivery.
- Checking the status of vehicles.
- Accurate reporting of number of shipped and received vehicles.
- Will send out vehicle inventory list throughout the shift at required times.
- Monthly inventory comparison.
- Reporting any damage on the incoming vehicles according to company process.
- Tracking damaged units and processing according to company process.
- Responsible for keeping the yard clean, orderly, and efficient while adhering to all safety and driving rules.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- Education
- Minimum
Required:
Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent is required. - Experience
- Minimum
Required:
Previous Leadership experience within a relevant environment is required. - Valid Driver's license is a must.
- The ability to lead a team of three employees.
- The ability to work outside throughout the year within a fast-paced environment.
- Basic MS Office skills (Outlook and Excel)
Working Conditions
- Manufacturing/production floor environment with a presence on the production floor required for at least 50% of daily work time.
- Frequent exposure to industrial manufacturing, automotive vehicles, weather elements, chemicals and robotics.
- Personal protective equipment must be worn at all times on the production floor.
